In A Solar System Nearby God Is Known

It will be a wonder to many now that the Dissimulation Era ended so violently with the discovery of the Godless neighboring planet because astronomers have discovered through radio transmissions that the next to nearest planet has conceived of a God. It seems that our neighbor in the nearest solar system is Godless out of some form of disgrace or disfavor by the great true God. What can we make of this? Can an entire planet be condemned to hell? In fact yes. In fact the new interlocutors assert that their planet lives in perfect harmony all believing in one faith and that the planet we live on is in a crisis of possibly being condemned. That we have more than one God has been a problem for ages and the only data we could receive as to the name or nature of their one true God is that he is to our South. The alien race's last message before being lost to technical errors suggests that because ice floats and land mass sinks it is obvious that we are looking at North when we look at South simply by the topography of our planet. I as a scientist and mystic fear this is the greatest discovery we could make. God hates us for worshiping him upside down for so long. Que serra serra.

The Bee That Stung Today

By: Audrey Gurley

As if the mysterious Author Martin Al Qasrani hasn't created enough hubub about his most recent novel, this afternoon I met him for tea and he has insinuated that he will not complete the novel anytime soon. He says he feels as if this could be a much longer and more illustrious work of a vision of revolution which cannot be abbreviated for the hungry and nosy public. He has been hard at work after his recent breakdown and the beating he suffered at the hands of secret agents of SODA. What we can expect is literature. In the tradition of the great Expressivists, Al Qasrani intends to florify his skeleton with amazing language art. We simply must wait for the outcome. I can't wait...can you?

The City of Thought Is Telepathic

By: Signal

Who knew that in the world, there existed a place where thinkers actually think, to each other, as their mode of communication of revolutionary ideas! This is the news erupting from across the Atlantic where a economist expatriate of our own Silver City (locally known as TheoCosmos), revealing that the citizens of the City of Thought are actually at task, thinking about revolutionary ideas to each other, discussing the course of the revolution through telepathy and what Theodore St. Urbain calls "interpensation". The dialogue is so surreptitious that the government has no choice but to accept the eventuality of the revolution. How exciting!

The Work Is Ending...Time Is Ticking For The Final Act

By: Mad and Hell

Well Mad, it seems the current work of the author Martin AlQasrani  is drawing to its conclusion, are we prepared to read it?

Of Course Hell, it's about time. So much drama and theatrics have surrounded the publication that I imagine the author is going crazy just anticipating our reaction.

Well Mad, it is no question that I will love it. I have such great faith in AlQasrani that I can feel assured that the book will be a romp through Silver City that we will all remember. The part about the night at Nox (fictionalized of course) will only be a smidge of the course of the novel. Yet there was so much hullabaloo. I think we can learn a lot about our own self-interested egos if we are to read this novel. Silver City has never been so abuzz with negative speech and speculative concerns. It's quite a shame.

Yes Hell, I do think that these critics and violators of the sacred craft of writing and AlQasrani's process will be scandalized at the author's mastery and good intentions. What of the move to City of Thought? Do you think that will be happening?

Well Mad, one never knows. But it would require a lengthy transliteration which could postpone the publication. We can only hope that AlQasrani has the good faith in his longtime native city to publish here. Only time can tell.

Mood Disorder Haunts The Authors Intentions

By: Wandering One Waiting

There seems to be a major lull in the progress of the novel which is called...well...one cannot say without divulging much more than intended to you dear compatriot. All one needs to know is that the author has revealed that the tone of the novel ought to be read for shifts in mood. The novelist wanted to convey his mood in writing the novel as he suffers from a very rare mood disorder and feels that mood in word choice, dialogue, and character actions may be more telling than the plot itself. For those interested in mood and literature, there is a specific professor at SSCU who is expert in deciphering mood elements in writing. his name is Synchro Andres. The overall mood of the novel is hopeful but at times progresses from euphoric and romantic, to dark and subversive, and then to blaze and what may have been the pivotal moment in the novel is the least excited. The very moment where the title is founded is the greatest display of dreary recumbence and laziness. This is directly related to the author's mood during the writing of this portion of the novel and he insists that this is a necessary effort or lack of. He claims he is trying to exagerrate the overall sense that nothing is important and nothing really matters. This borders on existentialist despair and the author claims that resolving this sense is the main goal of the work. What seemed to be a book of gay male erotica about a fictional sex drug called "Candles" has become an all out philosophical work aimed at the complacency of moderns in their lacking a vision as they once did during the revolutionary era. The author claims to be pleased with his work and has no intention of modifying the mood for readers who want heightened experiences in a world of base stimulation.

Martin Al Qasrani: The Christ Myth Found In New Work

By: Signal

Recently, I have come upon a radical new piece of information regarding the novel which the author, Martin Al Qasrani is writing. This controversial work is anticipated as the novel du jour which will revolutionize the world as a new found theory on "why" is supplanting the longstanding paradigm in all of the sciences and disciplines of thought of "how". The author claims, in his novel, that madness lies in fixed and pointed understandings of the physical world. He claims that science is inept to demystify the still confounding questions which pervade the universe and astonish scientists and scholars; and that he has intended to convey a new element to physicists and scholars of the like. He calls it "Element Q" and he has every intention of describing the nature of this element in his novel. What most people consider a work of fiction has become the philosophical treatise on a question which will negate all established lines of questioning as, at best, fraction, and at worst, mental masturbation for a meritocracy which finds value in myopic understandings. As the senior writer on all things literary for the Silver City Journal, I anticipate the work as an exciting new elaboration on the body of work of this trusted and beloved author of the same vein as Solomon Andres and his revolutionary contemporaries. Wait for it, read it, love it, support it. It is for all good.

The Bee That Stung Today

By: Audrey Gurley

New gossip leaked from agents of Lumen have revealed that the author does not intend to publish his novel in Silver City. Upon further consideration, the author claims he is not safe from radical conformists and will be expatriating to the City of Thought before he will allow his work to be published. Many think this is a ploy to arouse greater interest but the author, from my experience, has always detested Silver City's culture of duplicity and complacency and I suspect that he feels his revolutionary work is more appreciable in a city of thinkers rather than competing, self-interested, artists. What is most exciting is that the City of Thought has adamantly declined the offer of the author to relocate to the very ritzy Hotel la Rue where he was to reside in the Coco Suite for an undetermined period. The hotel claims the room is not available to the author and the Municipal Affairs Department have claimed that competing interests preclude the city from offering the author amnesty and governmental protection. Revolutionary spirit is unabated and breaths are bated. What could come of all this? Just listen for the buzz of this little bee.

The Energy In A Seed

By: Signal

A new development in the world of author Martin Al Qasrani! The author was not released to the psych facility but rather the hospital, finding him in stable mental condition, upon his insistence, has turned the shaken victim of a brutal attack to Lumen Investigators who will take Qasrani's account of the attack and determine if further investigation of SODA is necessary. The first step in the evaluation will be an energy cleanse where the victim/author will have all conflict and negative influence removed by a technique known as "soul sweeping". After this, the Lumen team will determine the actual identity of the assailants. What the investigators seek is the true perpetrator as the renowned author has claimed his life was threatened because he has a literary work in his possession which will undermine the foundation of the current social paradigm. He claims he has willed to encapsulate in four volumes, one of which is complete, the new paradigms of dialectic flux, anti-transflexion in energic social science, and just economy. He has no collaborators. He claims no authority but that of his love. All the world is becoming implicated and interested in the events and it seems this revolution is not to be abated in the minds of those who have extrapolated the ideas contained in these rubrics. What is left is the ability to minimize the dangers and consequences of any disorder stemming from the confusion of the changes to come.

The Author aka "The Tortured Soul"

Silver City, Metalton District
5:37AM
Case File#6111977

Martin Al Qasrani was found lying in the alley naked and bound with rope and gagged claiming he had been attacked by a gang of "trash". The victim claims he was targeted because he is the author of a novel which exposes economic injustice and that the perpetrators were hired thugs of the Municipal Affairs Department and the secret SODA (Social Order Defense Agency). He has become very paranoid and will be transferred to the Silver City Psych Facility upon his release from hospital.

Author Responds To Allegations That He is Going Mad

Dear Editor,

I am the "Author" who is being much buzzed about in your editorial and society page. I am not going mad. I am not in need of a straight jacket, and I am making excellent progress in this novel. To those of you who expect a fictionalized account of your lives, I'm sorry but this is wholly fiction and my intentions are not to propagate any agenda or cult of personality which some would suggest. My intentions are to examine the bleak outlook of life for those who inhabit our fair city and our world without the comforts of spiritual diversion and also to admonish our current complacency in accepting the half-hatched utopia we were already promised.

I am not a traditional utopian in that I do not see the world and the individual as capable of harmony, yet I know that social justice is a goal and that with more harmony, resonance is stronger. Let us all tune ourselves to a common vision and move forward is the next step. This novel does nothing to prescribe an actual course. Simply to reveal, such as the existentialist, the universal malady of a society so dependent on a identity of progress but with no merits and credits to such a status. Silver City is a city of skeptics and I imagine that no one will believe again but were not the deluded religious masses happier with their stronger sense of common identity? This is the question I pose. Anyway....read it once it comes out and make me a richer man.

Yours truly,

The Author

Letters to the Editor

Anonymous The author ought to be put in one of these. I hate the idea that he can claim to write fiction about us Silver City citizens. Anyone who reads this novel is taking a egoist flying leap into anarchist and utopian madness. The novel, according to my sources is nothing short of a prescription to overthrow the monetary system and establish an unattainable utopia. We all know how that ends. Boycott "The Poet of Future Myth" or be a part of the mad grab at power that will happen when the author's intended utopia FAILS!

Author Bouts With Strange Psychic Malady

By: Elenore Font

A strange upheaval has placed the author of the much anticipated novel "The Poet of Future Myth" in a state of quiet despair. Reports from family indicate that the author claims to have lost all ambition and inspiration and has fallen into what one family member calls a "psychic black-hole". No more is known about the author's condition but if the past is any indicator, this troubled artist may be on his way to a steep decline from which he may nver return leaving so many citizens of Silver City wondering if they will ever read the novel which he has promised for the past year.

The author is a diagnosed psychotic according to medical records, released by his own volition upon the 2010 scandal during which a professor claimed he was not authority on psychic treatment. The author is an advocate of the mentally ill and has chosen to remain reclusive during this period of questions and gossip. Some have claimed the author is a master, others a hack; but one thing that is known to all is that he is a major force in Silver City and that we all ought to hope that he recovers to return to his work so that we all may enjoy the fiction of facts which we have all come to know through his brilliant storytelling.

Silver City Supports New Novel

As you read this, a novel is being composed in the mind of an author entitled "The Poet of Future Myth". This novel is the first of its kind in the chronicling of several well known citizens of Silver City. What you can expect is a complete philosophy of our current zeitgeist with brilliant insights into the work of Solomon Andres, the great philosopher and social physiologist being explored and valued for his contribution to current understanding in our fair city-state.

More than a novel, many illustrious citizens have collaborated to create a story of epic intention and will for the progress of Silver City and the paradigm we now espouse. Transfelxion is nearly a thing of the past to so many of us and this novel shows the noble origins of this revolutionary approach to solving the many ills of our new order.

What is most exciting about this addition to the literary scene is the allusions to many of our beautiful natural and urban sites and landmarks. The author is very effective with his use of imagery in creating, for those who have never been here, to visualize a city as glamorous as the City of Sculptures; visionary in his philosophical approach to a city built on our collective love of poetry.

The City of Poets now has a document proving that we are still a center of intellectual, artistic, and now, spiritual progress.
